Look like The Green Lantern will have another bad guy to battle. Angela Bassett has signed on to play villainess Dr. Amanda Waller, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog.
Bassett joins Peter Sarsgaard who is playing Dr. Hector Hammond, who gets exposed to a meteorite that increases his brain capacity and gives him psychic powers over others. Ryan Reynolds has been cast as Hal Jordon who becomes the powerful Green Lantern. “Gossip Girl’s” Blake Lively will play his love interest, Carol Ferris.
