THR reports that New Line plans to remake the Oscar nominated comedy, “Private Bejamin” starring Anna Faris in Goldie Hawn’s role. It seems to be Goldie Hawn remake in Hollywood because not too long ago, “Overboard” remake was anoounced starring Jennifer Lopez.
Not sure how Goldie Hawn is feeling about these remakes of some of her best films but none the less they are happening. Anna Faris is known for comedy. She can do it well and it might work as a film. Keep posted for more remake news as soon as it develops.
Unlike “Overboard” I can see a part for Goldie here. Though she is technically too old for the role she could play the role Eileen Brennan played in the original. Both Hawn and Brennan were Oscar nominated for their work in the original. If Goldie did the remake and got a nom that would HAVE to be a first.
