What is the recent Oscar winner, Christoph Waltz (“Inglourious Basterds”) plans post winning Best Supporting Actor…directing a German romantic comedy.
“Auf Und Davon” (Up and Away) follows the ruthless female host of a dating show who must confront her cynical and callous feelings about romance when the show’s story line conflicts with her attraction to a contestant.
Waltz will direct from his own script which is based on Meike Winnemuth and Peter Praschl’s novel of the same name. He has directed for television before, but this will be his movie directing debut.
