The seven castaways of “Gilligan’s Island” have found a home at Warner Bros. The studio have begun development on a feature film based on the CBS sitcom. The original show aired three seasons from 1964 and 1967 and has been ever famous in syndication.
Brad Copeland is writing the screenplay, with original show producer Sherwood Schwartz aboard to exec produce. Plans are for a modern day approach on the famous premise and characters, The studio has begun development, as of now though, there is no casting, but Sherwood Schwartz said in an interview last year that he was interested in Michael Cera playing the lead role.
