Horror 3D Sequel/Remake News: “Alien” & “Zombieland 2″

According to Shadow Lock, In an interview with art-director Roger Christian, he mentioned that 20th Century Fox will release their Alien prequel in 3-D. “Ridley’s doing the next Alien in 3D,” Christian told also mentioned, “Ridley told me some of his ideas when we were here in Toronto. He has a very clear understanding of where this should go. They kind of stopped dead one of the greatest horror franchises there’s ever been, and it had legs to go on. So I’m hoping he’ll revive another three. The world certainly wants it, and the fans want it – everybody.” Ridley Scott, original director of Alien, will be getting behind the camera again for the untitled prequel being penned by Jon Spaihts.

Since “Zombieland’ was one of the freshest horror movies of the last few years, no surprise that the sequel is on the fast track getting made. According to Icon vs. Icon, the director Ruben Fleischer said, “We have been talking to the studio and we pitched them some ideas that they seemed to really like. We are definitely doing the film in 3D…I know that the cast are all excited to be a part of the sequel, so it should be a great, fun movie to make! The script is about to be written and hopefully we will shoot it sometime towards the end of the year or early next year.” Very excited about this sequel and hoping the 3D will be closer to “Avatar” and less like “My Blood Valentine 3-D”.
