“Splice” comes together in June

Warner Brothers has announced an opening date for their sci-fi thriller, “Splice.”

The film, directed by Vincenzo Natali, received both critical and audience acclaim at this years’ Sundance Film Festival. “Splice” tells the story of two ambitious young biologists who risk their careers—and their lives—by pushing the boundaries of science to serve their own curiosity.

Producer Joel Silver, Chairman of Dark Castle Entertainment said in a studio release, “Vincenzo has made a thought-provoking thriller that combines horror, science fiction and moments of dark humor in a fascinating exploration of one of today’s most controversial topics. ‘Splice’ is like nothing you’ve ever seen before.”

The film, starring Academy Award winner Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley is scheduled to hit theatres on June 4, 2010.
