Steve Martin goes bird watching with Owen Wilson and Jack Black

Steve Martin is joining Owen Wilson and Jack Black in “Big Year”, a comedy about bird-watchers. The film is based on the book ‘The Big Year: A Tale of Man, Nature and Fowl Obsession’, which follows three men who try to outdo each other in a bird-watching competition. The original nonfiction book, uses the contest to show reflection of the mens’ lives, but the movie version I am guessing would take a more comedic approach with the trio participating in a series of pranks. With Steve Martin, Owen Wilson and Jack Black together it sounds like this movie might have some really potential even though it is about bird watching.
