“Jonah Hex” is a fun, action-packed adventure-thriller with supernatural elements about a tough, scarred bounty hunter. Josh Brolin brings Jonah Hex to life with a bad-ass attitude and wry humor. Based on the legendary character from the popular DC graphic novels of the same name, the film is an all new adventure in which Jonah Hex is enlisted by the post-Civil War U.S. government to track down an old enemy who is plotting a devastating attack on the United States.
The film also stars Megan Fox (the “Transformers” movies) as his partner-in-crime, Lilah, a tough yet beautiful courtesan working in a New Orleans brothel, who is Jonah’s one connection to the world. Brolin and Fox bring humor and chemistry as they team up to take on Quentin Turnbull, played by two-time Oscar nominee John Malkovich (“In the Line of Fire,” “Places in the Heart”), a former colonel in the Confederate army who has his own grudge against Jonah Hex and is on a quest to destroy the U.S.A. The film also stars Michael Fassbender (“Inglorious Basterds”), Will Arnett (“Blades of Glory”) and Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon (“Revolutionary Road”).
While “Jonah Hex” unfolds against a Western backdrop, the film certainly doesn’t feel like a Western. It has stylistic production design and cutting edge visual effects heightening the supernatural and adventure elements of the film. The film is a classic revenge tale, with two unstoppable forces clashing in an epic battle with the future of the union hanging in the balance.

mine would be spiderman i grew up reading it in the early 70′s and have been a fan ever since
So far my favorite comic film has to The Dark Knight, however, Mystery Men & 300 run close behind it.
Being a huge punisher fan when i was younger i am going to have to say that even though not the best comic turned movies I have to stay strong and go with all 3 Punisher movies. Yes I am even including the often forgotten Punisher movie staring Dolph Lundgren however I do think the best of 3 was the one starring Thomas Jane but Warzone wasnt all bad either!
Gotta go with Hellboy.
At this moment it has to be X-men…..I have enjoyed all of them that have come out. I am very anxious for Green Lantern to come out, so that could be my favorite if it is good.
This answer will probably date me but HOWARD THE DUCK. Loved it!!! Still do.
My favorite would be Batman. He’s got all the cool toys.
Whoa how amazing!
I don’t really have a favorite (I like quite a few), but the most recent one I can think of that I loved was Kick-Ass. I hated how they changed some stuff but I still thought it was fun!
My favorite is Ghost World.
My favorite comic turned movie is American Splendor.
My favorite comic turned movie is The Dark Knight. I am eagerly anticipating Scott Pilgrim and Green Lantern.
My FAV is SIN CITY !
There have been so many good ones, but my favorite has to be “Sin City”
“Watchmen” I just loved the political spin.
I don’t think “John Hancock” was made from a comic, but it was a great story/movie idea. Movie wasn’t great, but the first half rocked.
Jonah Hex ….by far. I’ve been looking forward to this movie for over 25 years. Now, if we can only get a Sgt. Rock movie too!
Spider-Man 2 was the best!
There’s a lot of great comics that have been turned into movies, it’s hard to pick one. The Punisher films were awesome but I would probably have to say The Crow. No matter how many times I watch that film it’s still awesome. Tales From The Crypt and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have to be mentioned too but The Crow is my pick.
My favorite comic turned movie would have to be Superman. I thought it was so cool the way Clark Kent was able to use the phone booth to turn into Superman…I even had the cape and underoos when I was a youngster! lol Christopher Reeve was awesome as Superman and Clark Kent!
My favorite is Sin City. Just so good.
My favorite comic book turned movie would have to be The Crow, they were both so well done. I was young when the movie was released but my parents had the comic so I got to read it first.
There are many comic book characters I love that have gotten there own movie. I would have to say the film I am most fond of is Tim Burton’s Batman (1989) Because it was the first time I got to see a hero of mine on screen, it was exciting.
superman rules the best movie comic ever
Iron Man was really the bee’s knees. Good to see ol’ Shellhead on the screen. Downey was brilliant.
I love Batman! The Comics have always been awesome but the older batman movies were funny not the batman i knew, so the new series of Batman movies with Christian Bale are exactly what I was looking for, the dark side of Batman, what made him what he is and how he does it.
I’d have to go with the first Hellboy…Ron Perlman was perfect for the role…
Tough call because each series as had great entries “Dark Knight” for Batman, “Spider-Man 2″ for Spidey and of course the “X-Men” and “X2″
For me, love the oddballs: “Road to Perdition”, “Ghost World” and “300″ (which is one of the best adaptations)
I just like Megan Fox
Definitely favorite is Superman!!!
I am still waiting for a good Captain America ( Thor too ) ’cause so far most Cappy Films have been pretty lame ( sometimes funny ) and not on a par with the likes of Iron Man , Hulk and some of the other more recent tries at bringing the comics to life
My favorite would have to be the timeless Superman. It never gets old. Jonah Hex is badass also & I’m going to see the movie today so hopefully it will be as great as the comics are.
: )
Sin City without a doubt!
My Favorite Comic Turned Film Is The Dark Knight (Batman)
