MovieMikes.com soars during initial six months!

The film inclusive web site www.mediamikes.com celebrated recently when it registered it’s 250,000th hit.

The site, co-founded by Mike Gencarelli and Michael Smith, has become a “go to” site for both film fans and other web sites. Reviews, articles and interviews from the site have been referenced in such publications as The Washington Post and on line on Moviehole.net, CrazedFanboy.com, Desk of Brian.com and WhatsPlaying.com. The site recently was named #1 on the Internet Movie Data Base “Hit List” highlighting the sites’ exclusive interview with movie poster artist Drew Struzan.

MovieMikes.com has featured over 100 interviews since it’s inception, featuring a who’s who of Hollywood. Among the actors featured: two time Academy Award winner Denzel Washington, former Oscar nominees Tim Roth and Eric Roberts, Bruce Campbell, Henry Winkler and Dee Wallace. On the other side of the camera, the site has talked with directors John Lee Hancock (“The Blind Side”), Uwe Boll (“BloodRayne”), Vicenzo Natali (“Splice”) and Jim Sharman (“The Rocky Horror Picture Show”) The site also features an intensive series of interviews with the casts and crews of films like “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” “The Boondock Saints” and the recently released “The Last Exorcism.” Gencarelli has just finished an intensive interview series with the cast of the upcoming AMC series “The Walking Dead.”
