If you know horror then you know that Kane Hodder kicks some serious ass. Especially since Kane has starred as Victor Crowley in the “Hatchet” series, he has been reborn in the horror genre as a major bad-ass. In this film he is one crazy killer and of course does it well. The rest of the cast is…well horrible. Luckily the film has some pretty uncut extended gore scenes and also interesting kills, it saves this film from failing too much.
Ike (Kane Hodder) owns a gas station in the middle of nowhere and he not only kills all his patrons…but then also pulls out their eyes and turns them into beef jerky. He is off Exit 33 and let’s just say for a gas station in the middle of nowhere, he gets quite the business. Obsessed with women’s eyes, he is looking for the perfect eyes to help with his dark secret.
When you have low budget horror, you have to be lenient with what to expect. You want great kills and gore then you need to skimp on the acting and production. Just to clarify like I said already besides Kane the acting is next to hard to watch. The production value, especially when driving, is laughable and luckily takes place most at the Ike’s Last Chance Gas station. Overall horror fans will enjoy seeing horror legend Kane Hodder do what he does best…kill kill kill.
Special features on the disc include commentary from the actors, a brief interview with Kane Hodder and a few deleted scenes. Not a lot but not terrible either. But with a film like this are you really picking it up for the special features?
