Kansas City – Win Passes to Attend An Evening With Richard Dreyfuss

Long time readers know how much the Mikes love the movie JAWS. Well now we want to share that love with our Kansas City area fans by giving them the opportunity to an amazing evening “Jawing” with Academy Award winner Richard Dreyfuss.

The event, which will be moderated by Media Mike’s own Mike Smith, will be held on Thursday, April 4th at the Carlsen Center at Johnson County Community College. After the event, stay and enjoy a screening of the greatest film ever made (ok, I’m biased), JAWS.

Our friends at J & S Promotions has given us passes for (5) lucky readers and a guest to attend the event. All you have to do is let us know below your favorite Richard Dreyfuss film. WIN PASSES TO ATTEND A SPECIAL KANSAS CITY SCREENING OF THE CULT CLASSIC “THE ROOM”

 

 

What do you call a film that is SO unusual…has such a cult following…that James Franco is starring in a film depicting the making of said film?  You’d call that film “The Room.”

In anticipation of the aforementioned James Franco film, “The Disaster Artist,” our good friends at the Kansas City Alamo Drafthouse is presenting a special screening of “The Room” and we want to give (5) of our readers and a guest the chance to attend.  The screening will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 and will begin at 7:00 pm

All you have to do is let us know below what film you think could inspire it’s own “making of” film?  Behind the scenes with the Munchkins on “The Wizard of Oz?”  Hanging out in the Shire for “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy?  It’s up to you.

Win a Pass for Two to Attend The Kansas City Marathon Presentation of “Twin Peaks” [ENDED]

Media Mikes has teamed with our pals at the Alamo Drafthouse to give one lucky reader (and a guest) the chance to attend the “Twin Peaks” screening marathon in Kansas City on Saturday, February 22. The winner and their guest will not only have the opportunity to watch EVERY episode of the popular David Lynch created series, “Twin Peaks” as well as the feature film, “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me.”

The screening begins at 6:00 p.m. on February 22nd and ends at approximately 6:00 p.m. the next day. That’s 24 hours of Sheriff Truman, Agent Cooper, Laura Palmer and all the other characters hanging around the little Washington town of Twin Peaks.

Media Mikes has teamed with Fathom Events to give their readers a chance to expose themselves to a little culture! Fathom Events has teamed up with the Metropolitan Opera Company to broadcast some of their greatest performances this year into theatres, giving fans who can’t make it to New York a chance to experience outstanding performances of some of the greatest operas ever. First up will be Verdi’s Rigoletto, which will premiere on Saturday, February 16th. Interested fans only need to let us know what live event they’d like to be able to catch in a theatre. A concert by your favorite band? A Broadway performance of your favorite show? Let us know. Media Mikes is giving away (2) sets of Admit Two passes for each LIVE performance. Those who can’t make the LIVE show can use their passes for the Encore presentation. You only need to register once. The contest will run through February 25. The winners of the passes for the February 16th passes will be randomly chosen on Wednesday, February 13 and notified by email of their prize. All other prize winners for the March and April presentations will be notified NLT Wednesday, February 27. The screenings will be held at the Regal Kansas City 18 Cinemas.
